Blondies

Like Brownies. Only, They're Blond.

I took these to work with me last Monday, and what you see in the photo above is all that was left. I scored major brownie, or "blondie" points, that is. ;-)

These are easy and quick to make. I'm allergic to regular chocolate and become ill if I even consume a small amount of it. But for those of you who love chocolate, I'm sure you can use chocolate morsels instead of the white chocolate and add some cocoa to the flour mixture.   

Blondies

1 cup + 2 T all-purpose flour

1 t baking powder

1/4 t salt

1/3 c butter, softened

3/4 c packed light brown sugar

1/2 t vanilla

1 egg

1 cup white chocolate morsels

1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

1/2 c angel flake coconut [I didn't have the coconut so added extra nuts, it was fine]

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in morsels, nuts and coconut. Press into greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or till golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares. Makes about 16 bars.

Thats the first I've seen of blond brownies. LOL Thanks for sharing...I may pass this on to my sister...she's looking for a new recipe to tackle these days.

Ooooooooh, I love blondies!!  Yummmm, haven't had one in years.  Thanks for the recipe, thinking I might just have to make some.  I've been baking alot lately, to keep the chill out of the house.  Brrrrrrrrrrrr...

I wish I had the gumption to bake, LOVE
to eat it....but, to make them. ugh.
I am just not cut out for baking. but I truly appreiciate

Ohhhh... Hel and I love Blondies.  We usually go to Applebees and share a blondie from the dessert menu.  The butter sauce is AMAZING.  Suprisingly, I've never tried to make blondies.  I'm printing this recipe.  Yum!!  :D

I don't think I've ever had blondies before, but this sounds and looks yummy.  Mmm mmm, I happen to have some white chocolate morsels so I just might make some this weekend.  Thanks for the recipe!

I have to bring a dessert 'to pass' tomorrow and this is the one I'm going to bring.  I like it cause it's a little different and really sounds delicious.
